I’m Jodi Gray, breeder, owner, and preserver of Butterball Kennel. Russell Terriers have been a part of our family for more than 40 years, and I am proud to continue that tradition by breeding, raising, and showing quality AKC Russell Terriers.
We actively compete in AKC Conformation events throughout the Southeast and have proudly campaigned many of our Russells to their AKC Champion titles. Our breeding program focuses on producing healthy, beautiful, and well-tempered dogs that can succeed in the show ring while also becoming devoted family companions.
Whether you are searching for a promising show prospect or a loving pet, I take great care in helping each family find the puppy that best fits their home and lifestyle. I am always happy to answer questions, share my experience, and help others learn more about this intelligent, affectionate, and entertaining breed.

My dog passed away and when the time was right, I started looking for Russell Terriers. I was looking at rescues and none of the organizations would let me adopt because we now live in a townhouse. I was so discouraged that I decided to buy one from a breeder. I happened across Butterball’s website and the rest is history! She is a beautiful dog and so much fun. Birdie has been easy to train and gets along with all people and other dogs. She goes everywhere with us!
